Frequently Asked Questions

Are there restrictions to when I can take the vacation?

Vacations are booked on a first come first serve basis, so call us as soon as you know the dates you wish to sail and we will verify availability - 1-888-610-5935 or 847-510-5935.

Where do I fly in?

You can fly into Tortola - Beef Island or St. Thomas. If you fly into Tortola, the yacht can meet you at the airport. If you fly into St. Thomas, you will need to take a ferry to Tortola to meet the yacht.

How many people can go on the yacht?

Up to six guests can be comfortably accommodated. There are 4 cabins, one for the crew and three for the guests. Each cabin has its own bathroom. (Learn more about the yacht.)

Can I take my children?

Yes, we love family vacations! While we realize that parents are ultimately responsible for their children's safety, we know how to help keep them safe and give you peace of mind. For small children, we can put netting around the sides of the yacht and a tether line to the deck. All of our children have safely sailed the BVI since they were very young. (Read more on our Family page.)

Do I always see land?

Yes, you can see land at all times, unless you choose to sail to Anegada where you will lose sight of land for a short time. You choose where you want to go and how long you want to stay.

Is the water rough?

The waters surrounding the British Virgin Islands are relatively calm, that's why they are nicknamed the "Disney Land" of sailing.

Will we anchor at night?

Yes, in beautiful protected coves that are abundant in the BVI's. There are lights on the yacht, but relaxing under the gorgeous Caribbean moon is a real treat! In the morning, you can take a swim right off the deck of the yacht while the crew prepares your breakfast.

How much do we sail?

The trip is customized to suit you! The crew will sail the yacht as much as you like, depending on wind conditions. For a longer sail, we recommend sailing to Anegada Island, where pink Flamingos and Iguanas roam free.

What do you recommend for those worried about seasickness?

Most guests have no problems with seasickness sailing the calm waters of the BVIs. However, taking Dramamine or BonIne will usually ward off any seasickness.
